Tom built a backyard pen for his new puppy. The length of the pen was 6 1/4 meters and the width was 4 meters. What is the area of the pen?

Area of the pen = length*width

Area = [tex] 6\frac{1}{4} *4 = \frac{25}{4} *\frac{4}{1} = 25 (m^{2}) [/tex]

Answer is 25 m².
