Loess.

Loess is a classic, predominantly silt-sized deposit that is created by the gathering of wind-blown dust. 10% of the Earth's land region is capped by loess or linked deposits.

Loess is an aeolian sediment produced by the aggregation of wind-blown silt, typically in the 20– 50-micrometer size span, freely bonded by calcium carbonate. It is normally uniform and highly permeable and used to get crossed by upward capillaries which allow the deposit to split and form vertical bluffs.
