Frequency f = 1 kHz = 1000 Hz

Impedance Z = 45 ohm

Capacitive reactance [tex]X_C=\frac{1}{\omega C}=\frac{1}{2\pi fC}=\frac{1}{2\times 3.14\times 1000\times 10^{-5}}=15.92ohm[/tex]

We know that impedance is given by [tex]Z=\sqrt{R^2+X_C^2}[/tex]

[tex]45=\sqrt{R^2+15.92^2}[/tex]

Squaring both side [tex]2025=R^2+253.4464[/tex]

R = 42.08 ohm
