What is the function of the chloroplasts

To start of, chloroplast is an organelle that only plants possess and contains chlorophyll. The function of chloroplast is to allow photosynthesis to occur so that plants can turn sunlight into chemical energy, which is basically food for the plant. Hope that helped ! :)
