1. Clams have the ability to enclose themselves in shells. This adaptations prevents them to be eaten up by predators.

2. Clams are known to have muscular foot. This adaptation enables them to burrow into the sediment.

3. Clams reproduces by releasing large number of eggs in the water which are fertilized by the sperm. There method of reproduction is ideal to survive in an aquatic environment.
