Your question has been heard loud and clear

√-36 is by no means a real number. This is because square roots can only be positive in nature.  

Eg:  -2*-2 =  4      and 2*2 = 4   ,  so √4 =  -2 or 2   but √-4 doesnt exist.

So , √-36 also does not exist while √36 exists.

√-36 , we can however represent it as an imaginary number as 36i
