Explanation: f-sub-level has in total 7 orbitals.

Each orbital can hold 2 electrons, both in opposite directions.

As, f-sub-level has in total of 7 orbitals, so the total number of electrons that can be held in 5f-sub-level is ( 7 × 2) = 14 electrons.
