f(g(3)) means what is the value of the function f when it is evaluated at the value of g(3).

So g(x) is x^2 so g(3) is 3^2 = 9

Therefore we put 9 in for f(g(3))= f(9) = 6(9) - 4 = 54 - 4 = 50
