When multiplying 2/3 by a fraction less than one, how does the product compare to the factors? Explain Plz

Because when you multiple it by a less
fraction the amount becomes fewer and then you compare the fraction ( 2/3 ) to your product ( 1/3 ) and you would say that the product is fewer than the original multiple
