Is a positive integer (for your purposes, this is the same as a number) greater (larger) than or less (smaller) than a negative number? If I have $5, and you have -$5 in your bank account, who has more money? Me. So positive numbers are greater (larger) than negative numbers.

The open end of the arrow ALWAYS points to the larger number.

7.11 is larger than -7.1.

7.11>-7.1
