Multiplying with 6 is a mathematical process similar to multiplying with 3, in that setting up the greatest common factors between the two is easy due to the fact that 6 is a multiple of 3. As 6 is simply 3 doubled, any multiple of 6 will be the relative multiplation for 3 doubled.
