The Forbidden City ( the emperor palace in Beijing) was constructed based on the book "I ching" also known in English as " The Book of Changes". This book was assembled over centuries and does not have a specific author.

The other inspiration is Confucianism, and I think this is who the question asks for: Confucius. Confucianism is the religion that shaped China
